Sugar Addiction

Beat your Sugar Cravings with Hypnotherapy.

Am I addicted to sugar?

If you answer Yes to any of the following questions you could have a sugar addiction:

(a) You need to sweets/cakes/biscuits/fruit/alcohol everyday?

(b) You eat sweet things to feel better but generally end up feeling worse, even eating to the point of feeling sick?

(c) You experience the 'I have to have something sweet or else' feeling?

(d) If you don't have something sweet you feel moody, depressed, denied, and have strong cravings? You can't get it off your mind, and you keep coming back for more. The more you have it, the more you want it! But even when you try to stay away from it, it finds ways to sneak into your daily life?

What is sugar addiction?

Try putting a little sugar on your tongue and notice what happens…. for most people, it tastes good and feels good. Actually, sugar raises insulin levels, which triggers an adrenal response (the sugar rush), and causes the release of serotonin (one of your body's 'happy chemicals'). Eating sugar is a chemical addiction that provides a 'high' for a while, that is inevitably followed by a dip in blood sugar level and a 'low', and at this point people with this problem will eat more sweet things to stop feeling bad, and start feeling good. And so the cycle continues…

Millions and millions of people are addicted to sugar to some extent and many who don't think they are a 'sugar addicted ' would in fact find it very difficult to eliminate it from their diet for a couple of weeks.

Foods with this substance aren't called 'comfort foods' for nothing!

How hypnotherapy can help?

Hypnotherapy will help you understand, and gain perpective of, your old eating habits and behaviours, and give you the insight, and knowledge, to create new patterns of behaviour to ensure you don't fall into old habits again in the future. By using the techniques you will learn, and by making choices based on the new insights you have gained, you will develop a whole new relationship with food which means you'll eat the right amount, at the right time, and change to the body weight you wish to have. It isn't about dieting, or denial, it's about forming the right relationship with food - one which will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Hypnotherapy does not offer a magic wand that will instantly give you the body shape you want. You are still the one in charge of what you eat, when you eat and how you eat.
